What is RFID?

Radio Frequency IDentification (or RFID for short) is a term used to describe a system that transmits the identity of an object or person wirelessly, using radio waves. Bar codes and RFID are types of automatic identification (auto-ID) technologies used to reduce the amount of time and labour needed to input data manually and to improve data accuracy.

This technology has been around for many years now and is ideal for many applications.
